Van Atta Engineering is a civil engineering and surveying firm that has been providing quality civil engineering and surveying services to the southwest Ohio region since 1994. We specialize in the following services:

• Civil Engineering:
• Site Development Engineering and Land Planning for Commercial/Office
• Higher Education
• Medical Facilities
• Site Development Engineering and Land Planning for Single Family Residential projects as well as Multi-Family projects.
• Mainline Utility Extensions for Public and Private Developments (Sanitary Sewer & Water Mains).
• Public Roadway Design

Job Overview:

Van Atta Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to help with a varied array of site civil design projects. Qualified candidates must exhibit a professional attitude, innovative ideas, analytical problem solving, ability to work independently as well as a willingness to collaborate with other team members.

Project Engineers will be expected to perform the design and produce the required engineering documents for a wide variety of projects. A qualified candidate is expected to be able to take a project and run with it from start to finish

Education and Required Certifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or attainable within first two years of employment.

Experience and Required Skills:

• 4-10 years of experience in Site Civil Engineering and Land Development.
• Microsoft Office experience required (Word, Excel Spreadsheets)
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal skills required.

Job Duties:

• Prepare the required Civil Engineering Construction Plans for the project.
• Prepare required Engineering Reports, Calculations and Specifications.
• Responsible for project permitting and approvals through local agencies.
• Coordinate with existing team members to facilitate the design process.
• Coordinate with clients, external team members and sub-contractors as needed.
• Perform construction administration duties as required by the project.
• Revise plans and associated documents to address review comments.
• Prepare permit application packages as required by the project.
