• Site Development Engineering and Land Planning for Commercial/Office
• Higher Education
• Medical Facilities
• Site Development Engineering and Land Planning for Single Family Residential projects as well as Multi-Family projects.
• Mainline Utility Extensions for Public and Private Developments (Sanitary Sewer & Water Mains).
• Public Roadway Design

Job Overview:

Van Atta Engineering is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our survey department. The Survey Crew Chief will oversee a 2-3-man crew during regular daily field activities as directed by the Survey Manager. Qualified candidates shall be motivated individuals that work well in a team environment.

Experience, Education, and Required Skills:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of surveying experience performing topographic, boundary, construction layout and ALTA Surveys.
• Prior Crew Chief experience is desired.
• Ability to manage a team.
• Follow required site safety standards and client work guidelines.
• Working knowledge of conventional, robotic and GPS survey equipment.
• Perform basic surveying calculations utilizing data collectors.
• Ability to perform required uploading and downloading of digital files.
• Good organization skills.
• Effective communication and client interaction skills.
• Experience with Civil 3D software is a plus.
• Survey Intern (SI) certification is a plus.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License Required.
